Monthly Programs & Special Events

Every month we fill our meeting with quilting demonstrations and/or guest speakers. In addition, we also schedule special events that occur outside of regular meetings.

• Non-members will be charged $5 for special guest speakers. The $5 will be reimbursed if joining the guild that same night.

At each meeting, member are encouraged to show off a project they are working on. So join us each month for Show & Tell and see the wonderful projects members are making!

Members are asked to telephone one of the officers if you are concerned about weather conditions and the possibility of meeting cancellation. Guild Officers' phone numbers are listed in the newsletter. Also, Cabin Arts will field calls until 6:00 P.M. A decision to cancel will be made by the Executive Committee by 2:00 P.M.

Quilting Bees

We currently have three groups engaging in hand appliqué and/or hand piecing, meeting at different times during the month. 

• 3rd Monday – 10:00am to 3:00 pm.
  Attendees brown bag it, hostess provides beverage and dessert. 
• 2nd Wednesday – an evening group
• 1st Saturday

If you are not able to participate in one of these “bees” but would like to be a part of one, when you join the guild you should provide your name and phone number so the board can learn your interests and needs, and perhaps develop more “bees”. 

Quilters Day Out

Kentucky is the birthplace of Quilters Day Out. Quilters Day Out occurs on the 3rd Saturday in March.
